Bitola City Bus
Real-time public-transport tracker
Public transit only actually works for people if they trust it'll show up on time — and the Municipality of Bitola wanted riders to be able to check that for themselves before leaving the house, instead of guessing based on a printed timetable that may or may not still be accurate.
The app shows where each bus actually is right now, which routes are currently running, and realistic arrival estimates for any given stop — built with an interface designed to load quickly and work smoothly on the kind of everyday phone most commuters actually carry, not just the newest flagship device on the market.
I built the real-time backend that ingests and serves live vehicle positions, the mapping and geolocation layer that turns raw location data into something a rider can read at a glance, and the front-end experience across both web and mobile.
