PlayHunch
Sports fan-engagement & prediction platform — UK, Web + iOS + Android
PlayHunch takes something fans already do informally — guessing the final score, predicting who scores next — and turns it into a proper game that sports clubs in the UK can run for their supporters. Clubs use it to keep fans engaged between matches and reward the ones who follow the game most closely, reaching them on the web and through dedicated iOS and Android apps.
A fan joins a prediction game tied to a real match or an entire season, submits their picks before kickoff, and watches a live leaderboard update as results come in — the kind of light, ongoing engagement that keeps people checking back long after the final whistle. On the other side, club staff get a dashboard to set up new prediction games, adjust the scoring rules, and see how their fanbase is engaging, all without needing a developer involved.
I worked across the entire product — the web app, the Flutter mobile apps for iOS and Android, and the backend logic that has to update predictions and leaderboards the moment match events happen. A significant part of my time went into the admin tooling clubs rely on day to day, since that's what actually determines whether a non-technical club employee can run a game on their own.
