B2B journalism content marketplace with automatic translation
Originews (Dibeva) connects journalists who have a story to sell with the publications looking to buy one — a business-to-business marketplace for news and editorial content, built for the deal-making that happens behind the scenes of a published story rather than for the public reading it.
A journalist can list a piece for sale, a publication can browse the marketplace or put in a specific request, and the entire exchange — from listing to payment to delivery — happens inside the platform rather than over email and invoices. Because the people on either side of a deal aren’t always in the same country, I built automatic translation directly into the content pipeline, so a story written in one language can be read, evaluated and published in another without a manual translation step slowing the deal down or adding cost.
My role covered the core marketplace flows — selling, buying, and requesting content — the content pipeline underneath them, and the translation integration that makes a marketplace between people who don't share a language actually workable in practice, not just in theory.
